Clean skin, red lips

Can you think of a makeup look that's more classy than red lips? I know I can't!

Combine a red lip with clean skin and minimal eye makeup (who am I kidding, I love maximum eye makeup as well!) and you really can't go wrong with it.

I recently did a shoot with the focus on glossy textures on the skin, eyes and the gorgeous, orange-red lips.

With such a simple look, it can be pretty cool to focus on textures and color theory - even if it's just for a subtle effect. In this look, the texture is a light, glossy effect on her creamy skin as well as a full-on glossy lip. Color theory-wise, the orange-red lip works as a great color contrast to Clara's lovely, blue eyes!

I'd love to know your thoughts on red lips! Do you wear them yourself? How do you go about finding the right color? (Can you feel a "how to find your perfect red"-post coming up??)
